Form guide

Form before Tuesday’s games. Biratnagar also play Janakpur on 3 November (preview).

Kathmandu: confidence after the Karnali chase

Kathmandu were bowled out for 115 in their first game, then chased 181 against Karnali (report). Rashid Khan made 50 off 33, Karan KC has 52 runs in two innings, and Jahandad Khan finished the chase with 24 not out off 11. Warner made 16 off 10 on debut (how it went). Their bowling is the concern: no Kathmandu bowler has more than one wicket this season.

Biratnagar: the season’s biggest hitters

Lokesh Bam leads the run charts with 138 off 76 balls, and Andre Russell has 89 off 42. Shehan Jayasuriya has 50 off 21. Biratnagar scored 440 runs in their first three games, but they have lost two close games, and Angelo Mathews (5 wickets) has carried the bowling while captain Sandeep Lamichhane has struggled for wickets.

The key contest

Rashid Khan against Bam and Russell. Kathmandu’s best bowler has to keep Biratnagar’s hitters quiet in the middle overs; Biratnagar have shown they can score 186 when nobody does.
